Chemical Fingerprinting - Environment

Chemical Fingerprinting can be used for several environmental matrices like
water, soil, sediment or plant

How can chemical fingerprinting improve environmental analyses?

Analyses of chemicals in the environment are often limited to a few priority pollutants although analytical instrumentation today can provide information on thousands of chemicals in a single analytical run. Chemical fingerprinting can be used to obtain a more informative picture of the cocktail of chemicals in the environment. We aim to change environmental monitoring by integrating chemistry, analytical sciences and mathematics. We work with many environmental matrices be it water, soil, sediment or plant
